Hello everyone. My name is Dale and I’m looking forward to learning and working with all of you.
In the middle of June 2017 I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Oh my god what will I ever do. Yes that is sarcasm. Honestly it scared the hell out of me. My initial thought was that I had just been handed a death sentence. Well in 6 short weeks I have learned that not to be the case.
I have been doing tons of homework and am learning knew stuff almost hourly. I am here to provide all the information I can for my readers. Diabetes isn’t going away and neither am I. I am going to share as much information that I can with my readers.
The value that I give to you guys is that I am newly diagnosed so I don’t take anything for granted. I am experimenting with different aspects of this disease. Traditional medicine, natural medicine and other treatments. I am constantly reading and getting ready to share with the world or anyone who is interested in listening.
While this blog is going to be everything about diabetes it can be for pretty much anyone who wants to learn more about this terrible but beatable disease.

I think you get the picture. This website is intended for anyone who has anything to do with diabetes.
I am writing this blog to educate people as to the fact that diabetes doesn’t have to be a death sentence. there is so much information out there and I intend for it to all be here. You need to read this blog because I am writing it for you.
I do have to admit while diabetes is a very serious disease I don’t want to just write humdrums in here. I want to have some fun with this blog. And I will
So many people these days write about stuff they have no knowledge of. Well I will be writing from first hand knowledge. When I am speaking its because I have learned my facts either from my doctors or from the literature they recommend.
At the end of the day I would like to tell you a little more about me.
I am a husband of almost 30 years, I am a father of three great boys and a grandfather of one fantastic grandson who at the moment is 6 years old. I worked in the gas and oil industry in Canada for over 26 years and now work for the Federal government of Canada.
I quit smoking seven years ago, a two pack a day habit for 30 years. 4 years ago I quit drinking certain sodas that were full of Sugar. However I let my diet and life style get away just enough to get diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 6 weeks ago. I am overweight and weight 292 pounds. I am telling everyone this to make me and you accountable.
This disease can be beat and I believe that together we will do it.
So I look forward to hearing from anyone.
